Hmm interesting reply by Jeff to one of the comments:

"Its all good guys. If someone who can actually benefit from those points can get in. Then no hard feelings."

Seems to be suggesting he wouldn't benefit from the points if he played. Off to Q School?
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

Interesting Smith ok with it so he says, and remarked that ok with it if someone else could use the points. Seems to me that someone should be him if he has any intention of attempting to get to the shower of shit world champs put on by the BDO.

Maybe reading too much into it but I would say an indication Jeff Smith is going to do the PDC route this year, so expect him to be at Q-school or could he be lucky enough to do a Cristo and get into the tour card just by an Ally Pally visit. He would have to make the qrtrs to get into the top 64.

Rats only has to make the first round as a loss there I believe would give him 38k and I think might just be enough to sneak him in. A second round appearance he is in with a shout.

I hope they've asked Cameron Menzies if he's off to the PDC next year, wouldn't want a wildcard to be wasted on a player like that.

It's a proper cunt's trick. And dished out to seemingly the most popular player in that system (under the age of 50). Well done all.

I don’t think he will lose too much sleep over it with the feeble prize-money on offer. Would have to run deep to break even by any worthwhile means.

Sponsors won't either the value of being on sky and other broadcasters across the globe has to be better for them than being on a glorified weather channel where the darts are crammed in between local news of old lady's cat in a tree, farmer van clog hopper has given black pete a ride to town for xmas and tomorrows forecast for rain.

No point asking if the World Masters and World Trophy winners will be considered for wildcards I suppose #retard

Hankey or O'Sheep will probably take Jeff's place, the joy.

Oche said winmau have a lot to do with the wildcards for this.

Not sure how that squares with one of their own being treated in this way.

Pressure will have been applied by various individuals, no doubt.
