If the latter happens it would cause heads to explode.
I still doubt either will happen.
Wolves is still a long way off.

Fitton and O'Shea should of switched years ago wouldn't of won majors but would of earned some decent money more than in BDO system.

Fitton still has the game to get through Q school proved that getting to knock out stages of last years grand slam, but was a fool not to switch to PDC years ago, must of thought he's getting exposure of Lakeside being on BBC for the exbo circuit.

So, Ratajski has declined his spot at Lakeside, and will go for an Ally Pally shot. Massive news for @GaryRobson180 as he gets his place.

I have no idea how even the biggest bdo fan can support Big Robbo. His shit throwing action, his woe is me face and his fucking appaling tv record would get him pelters if he played in the PDC. Yet, he's a BDO fan fav?!

Also pretty odd that Peter Machin will be at the GSoD but not Lakeside.

The PDC seem to reward BDO TV winners better than the actual BDO do.

Neither of this year's "major" winners in attendance is poor.

I alluded to it last night.
You'd hope most are just mates or casual fans with no awareness as to why.
He didn't say it was by default.

Been watching the old Lakeside tournaments on you tube, crazy how shit it is now compared to what it used to be even years after the split it was still good.. Comes a point when if you continually lose your best players you can't keep producing them and the standard drops drastically..

BBC did a good job of producing good characters for TV like Barney, Hankey, O'Shea, Adams, Fitton, etc but even they got tired of the field being diluted each passing year and the production suffered them obviously putting less effort and money into it..

Did the production of the tournament suffer because BBC lost interest in it or the BDO had less money to put into, or both?

Do channel 4 show the pre-tournament players buffet though ?
Surely that's why they're all there, or at least they used to be :?

He will get a tour card. Still a good floor player and will be one of the better players

If he does go I also think he would get a card as well, the Q School is hardly full of the best darters in the world is it?

How he would perform on the Tour though is a totally different conversation.

Channel 4 did a great job with it this year. I dont mind the sharing with BT Sport, Personally i think C4 will renew for another 2 years. Its nice and cheap and for what they pay they get a lot of coverage, social media action then they would for a program on at that time during the year.

BDO need to improve the prize fund. It will not get to PDC levels and it cant but increase to something like thus

Winner £120,000
R/Up £40,000
Semi £20,000
Q/F £8,000
Last 16 £5,000
Last 32 £3,500
Prelim £2,500

£350k Prize fund plus ladies increase too
