Can't even remember his name.
Gino Vos, 2009? http://www.dartsdatabase.co.uk/EventRes ... ntKey=2058

Vos played Loowis in the first round at Ally Pally 2013. He had a couple of darts to go up 2-1 in sets, if memory. Atrocious match.

Thats the guy, is he still on the tour?

be great if either veenstra/de vos/harms tried it but not likely
Not convinced he will do that great.
De Vos too inconsistent unless he puts sine effort in, fear Harms ship has sailed.

Seems that masters run was 2009.
Jesus christ.
He looked a decent prospect back then.
Wonder what went wrong.

You'd think there would be an announcement of its demise.

Assuming no event changes it date, and assuming the BDO don't do the dirty and clash things, there are only 2 free weekends the WDT can now go:

Feb 24/25
Mar 31/Apr 1

After the last outing just letting it slip away is probably for the best.

No way, bastards can't possibly discontinue the wdt. I'm still tending to serious injuries from laughing at this year's.

It will be on, they will just do the dirty on another event and clash it, they don't give a shit.

They have form for it, about 7 (?) years ago they moved the Masters to clash with a Welsh Masters/Classic double header. They had to cancel their events and as far as I know they have never been held since.

Sad to see they've completely given up on the Players Championship - that's the fish finger fuck up fiasco to you and me.

Scheduled for 2016 and again in 2017, it never happened once.

Correct. But at least that wasn't clashing two events within that code.

Oh absolutely, it'll be on. How, where and at what cost - irrelevant. The show must be seen to be going on.

While it's nice that the schedule makes note which events still have details to be confirmed - is it just me, or is it rather strange that there are plenty of tournaments scheduled for the first few months of 2018 (= first half of the October to September season) that apparently haven't notified the BDO of anything about the event yet ("Awaiting Application Form")?

Dont think it worked anyway from memory.
That was the last real masters as well I think.

Nope it was the first tarnished one. Luckily, Thornton came through from the start to win so in reality 2008 was the first tarnished one.

Ah, well I was close.
Anderson was in wolves certainly, lost to Taylor in the last four.

Yes, in 2007. Martin Adams was the only BDO player invited to the Grand Slam that year who chose to play at the World Masters instead.

Only a couple of the events on the list actually confirmed, all the rest are subject to change
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life
