This could really do with being every 2 years, would keep the spark a lot easier

Nah, Thorn gets an erection over it for some bizarre reason.

I can't stand it.

Maybe he could have dragged Taylor down, we will never know.

I do like it, but still think some things suit being played less often, imagine if the football worldcup was every 2 years or something, it'd be shit! It's the best tournament in the world in the way it is

Also 2 year gap gives countries more time to improve, atm people are talking about expanding the world cup, there's too many countries way out of their depths in it as it is. I'm massively open to seeing more countries involved eventually and maybe even some sort of qualifying for the weaker nations but we're nowhere near that yet

I agree that the depth is just not there for expanding it. I feel like they could be a bit more adventurous with the picks but overall, we don't need more teams in it. I don't see the issue with it being held every year. The short format and the pairs aspect keeps it fresh enough, you always have a few pleasant surprises, etc. It's not comparable to the proper majors but I enjoy it more than the other non ranking events or even the smaller ITV comps

I wouldn’t worry about that mate. Cross will have gone further down the rankings by then, hopefully Chizzy or Aspinall can partner Captain Wade.

+1

I’m usually indifferent to the World Cup, but if Captain Wade is playing then I’m in.
First round England v Japan. Wade v Asada rematch.

I enjoy it, since it's the only time we get to see teams in darts. I'll admit that huge chunks of the first round can basically be unwatchable due to the jobber countries, but oh well. I still feel that it'd be more enjoyable as a team format for the whole tournament
