Congratulations to Patrik Kovacs of Hungary for winning the 2020 WDF Virtual Cup Singles in a thrilling 6-4 victory over Alan Soutar of Scotland.

The 2020 WDF Virtual Cup Champion is England. The team of Martin Adams and Paul Hogan finished on top of the 47 countries entered, and along with Patrik will receive invitation to the 2021 WDF World Masters.

Article in The Sun today.

Potter was quoted as saying that there won't be a World Championship at Lakeside this year, and O2 sources told The Sun that the BDO Worlds is unlikely to happen either.

Pretty much stating the obvious.

Maybe he could have dragged Taylor down, we will never know.

I've read it again.

The O2 sources flat out state that it won't happen.

The headline was a bit more charitable, saying that it's only set to be axed.

The article in question:

No surprise that Des refused to comment.

In other news, Guernsey is now a country: https://www.dartswdf.com/2020/11/12/wdf ... n-the-wdf/
2020 World Grand Prix Lucky Dip winner!
2x 2019 Q-School Lucky Dip winner!

Both as valuable as the Lakeside piss pot!

What do we think then?

Potter and WDF to run a "world championship" in January of 2022?

They were planning it for December this year, according Uncle Des. If that's worth anything(!) then it seems that December is their month of choice. Wanting to hold the entire thing before the PDC Worlds starts, presumably, and at Lakeshite most certainly.

Wasn't that December of 2019? Rather than December of 2020?

I thought one of Des' "stories" was that Potter and co were planning an alternative world championship, while he was trying to get one going at the O2?
