£1872 being the fruits of one season and getting into Lakeside....

By means of some comparison, the following names have all won £2k on the Pro Tour OoM...

135 Viljanen, Kim £2,000
135 Robinson, Harry £2,000
135 Herz, Fabian £2,000
135 Schindler, Martin £2,000
135 Ward, Harry £2,000
135 Welge, Andree £2,000
135 Fullwell, Nick £2,000
135 Claydon, Brett £2,000
135 Palfreyman, Lee £2,000

and there are 134 names above them!

Ahh, but they've all spent 100k to win that 2k, or whatever the nonsense figure was, and then only see Wigan rather than exciting cities across the world.

And played on unregulated boards, something which will destroy the world if the PDC fans found out. Apparently.

And with disrespectful crowds full on non-darts fans/in silence in a sterile environment. (Delete as applicable)

Something that happens on both sides but only one side criticised for.

I doubt anyone in the top 64 of the PDC is running at a loss.

Stuart Kellet ranked 64, 2 year earnings over £30K. Expenditure won't be over £10k per year. Think he also has a job so his expenditure is tax deductible as well.

wouldn't matter, proper darts isn't about how much you win in cash or making a living dong it, that isn't proper darts. It is about the prestigious titles and spending the dosh chasing points all over Europe and risking your life to play in Turkey. Then it is a matter of hoping and praying that when the criteria is announced just a few days before any possible "Major that may or may not be on TV" you have made the cut. Then its another 12 months of staying loyal, kissing ass, goose stepping the party line and earning your way up the family ladder. The BDO is a cult as much as it is a darting body.

cannibal had to go here to become a full-on troll, as opposed to certain other people who managed to do it while staying right on TSOD. ;)

Anyway, players qualifying for the PDC Worlds through the Pro Tour may be winning £20,000 in the process this year, but they'll never get to enjoy being referred to as "the reigning Police Masters champion" while they walk on to the stage, as James Hurrell will in January.
