I will call the men in white coats myself if it comes to that
I'm sure Des and Paula share a phone anyway. If anyone sends her a dick pic, Des will reply: "nice one mate but Paula's is bigger"

Cross will have to get his act together then, or he’ll be sliding right down the rankings

Hope he manages to defend a chunk - felt wining the worlds hampered the rest of his career so far but sure he wouldn’t change it.

I'm sure he will, I'm not expecting him to retain his place on the top 4 (he'd have to have a similar year to 2019 when he won 2 TV events and reached another final), but class is permanent, I'm sure he'll have a decent season and haul himself back up towards the top 16/10

Even if he only loses half of his 2019 winnings, he could end up struggling to stay in the top 16

How in the fucking hell does Cross winning the Worlds hurt his career??
It actually made his career. got him in the PL put him in a great position for seeding. More than likely gave him a huge chunk of change for sponsorships and winning the worlds puts him on a higher price plain for the future even if his darts go in the tank.

Did Deller winning it hurt his career, I think it actually made his career what did he do after that?

The argument that it was too soon and put pressure on him is fair enough but it's a trade every single dart player would take.

Cross winning the Worlds in the manner that he did it has broken our ability to grade his adventures reasonably ever since.

He won the Matchplay the following year with a 99 tournament average and people seemed to 'meh' the achievement. Destroying Taylor in a World Final cannot be successfully chased.

Exactly. Cross' first year capped by the Worlds set expectations very high. Still a very good player maybe not a long term resident of the top 5 but certainly a top 16 long term resident and good possibility long term top 10.

Cross will be a top player again if he sorts his attitude out. Once he is behind he is beaten now, also he takes too fucking long at important darts compared to when he first started

Order of Merit update

James Wade
With his 3rd UK Open win and his 10th major/premier title Wade jumps to 4th position on the OOM, being Englands #1 now. Luke Humphries knocks on the door of top32 again.

% of each top 32 player's ranking money at risk in spring & summer

Ahead of the upcoming Players Championship events and July's Betfred World Matchplay, PDC Stats Analyst Christopher Kempf takes a look at which players currently in the top 32 are defending the most and least ranking money...

Looking forward to the spring and summer, which players will have wished they had attained a better result at the Ladbrokes UK Open, and be most at risk of falling down the rankings?
