The Phillip Taylor Appreciation Thread

Post by Justin Credible » Mon Feb 04, 2013 6:27 pm

While I was never a Taylor Fan, I respect his achievements in Darts

However the levels of hatred by bitter people who seem to claim Taylor is killing darts are the very same people who constantly watch him so that his every waking moment can be criticized or put under scrutiny, his actions of decades ago must be dragged up hourly, his personal life a subject of gossip but the same people take offence if the same approach was taken to their favorite players.

The majority of Taylor haters tend to also amazingly be very pro bdo people and followers of the "pdc are cunts" attitude.
They also claim to be Dart Fans yet despise not only the most successful player ever, but spend their time slating a guy who was as important in making darts as popular as it is.
Were it not for Phil and the PDC these same people would no doubt be happier to exist with fuckall TV , exposure, publicity, have shit prizes etc

To all the Taylor haters, I say well done, your obsessive hatred and one trick pony act has only made people like me who was never his greatest fan to now look forward to his victories knowing the uproar it will cause among the anti Taylor obsessives.

So a thread for the Great Man seems only Fitting

given that the rebirth of darts on sky has been built on taylors shoulders, rightly or wrongly, where darts would be without him is a very good question.

nowhere close to where it is today would be my guess.
