Absolute Shit 2/10 Nolan has lost his marbles
Bit like Inception but no where near as good.
Yep Inception is decent but this jesus I think even Nolan confused himself. Same with Interstellar.

Spiral: From the book of Saw

4/10

Predicable twist.
Saw I, part of Saw II, III and IV all had great twists.
Also, Chris Rock’s acting isn’t great.

Watch if you’re a fan of the original series.
Other than that, don’t bother.
Maybe if you like Chris Rock, as there are still elements of comedy sprinkled in.

My verdict on Saw

Saw - 9/10 absolutely brilliant

2-whatever it's up to - 0/10 absolute shit

The first Saw, for what it was and for the budget, is great.
Some of Leigh Wannell’s acting is atrocious (and at times so is Cary Elwes’) but I’ll give him a pass as he was the writer and never had any acting roles before that.
Plus the twist was great.

Saw II is the best of the sequels by far.
3 is the 2nd best of the sequels.
4, despite the twist is average.
5 is dull.
6 is okay.
7/3D is the worst of them all.
Jigsaw is fairy shite.

National Lampoon's European Vacation.

They come to England which means some interesting guest appearances... Eric Idle and Mel Smith... and Ballard Berkeley, the Major from Fawlty Towers!

Saw Fargo for the first time today. Loved it. A great story about mundanity spiraling out of control. I really need to try to see more of the big films I've never watched.
Boring Brendas number one and (almost) only fan.

Smithys number one and (definitely not) only hater.

Stan & Ollie.

Charming film about the final years of Laurel and Hardy. Loved it. Steve Coogan plays Stan Laurel.

Kind of boring and went on for longer than it should have.

Parasite

9/10

Might not be to everyone’s tastes because the dialogue is all in Korean. But after watching it, I can see why there was a lot of hype around it after its win at the Oscars last year.

Might not be to everyone’s tastes because the dialogue is all in Toryism. But after watching it, I can see why there was a lot of hype around it from the upper class it's about the current conservative government robbing the poor to feed the rich and also how they have managed to kill over 150000 people due to total incompetence. The unedited version with Ian Duncan Smith saying all northerners should die went down well with all toffs.
