Lol. Phil "The Power" Foden could amaze all of us.

Somebody was likening him to the Rooney effect at Euro 2004... presumably they meant limping off injured while losing to Portugal.
I know this is a big statement to make, but I think Foden is ‘that good’ he could go on to be England’s greatest ever player. A special talent.
I think Foden is a special talent as well.
Pains me to say it, with him being a City player.

Who would you say is England’s greatest player?

I agree, though.
The sky is the limit for Foden.

In terms of who I have seen? For natural ability I would say Gazza, he just didn’t have the longevity though.
All time, I guess people of a certain age would say Matthews/Moore/Bobby Charlton.

For me as a suffering Wednesday fan, I was fortunate to see Chris Waddle in the 92/93 season when he won player of the year and was deemed the best English player at that time, yet in his wisdom, Graham Taylor wouldn’t pick him for England.

All good shouts.
Especially Gazza.
Did you know Foden has gone for a Gazza style haircut in tribute to him?

Don’t think I’ve ever seen Waddle play.
Did Taylor give a reason why he never picked him?

I am sure that I read somewhere or heard somewhere, much after the event, that Taylor didn't think Waddle was a "team player" and was lazy off the ball.
I cannot remember where I read it/ heard it though...

Sorry to Malty and Greipel. There are none left.

Thanks everyone for having a go. I'll post the full list later. We have both Turkey and Italy content tonight to kick things off.
