Sports you dislike?

Post by HalloweenJack » Fri Feb 26, 2021 8:25 am

Which sports do you dislike/don’t get?

For me,

Horse racing
Equestrian
Synchronised swimming
Anything with cars or bikes

As a kid I did always used to watch F1 but as I got older I just didn’t see the point of it. Each to there own though.

The big tennis games with big crowds are hell. Noise/hysteria levels are insufferable but the game means nothing to me in the first place.

I used to enjoy F1 a lot but when it went to ITV I grew tired of the ad breaks and then a while later all anyone wanted to do was panic about the fortunes of "Lewis" and honestly... it just got so narrow and tiresome. The mute button for F1 isn't really an option as I'm quite thick.

I may return to it some day but, then again, Sundays have changed since those days. Plastered with darts for one thing.

NFL... I have tried a few times over the years to get into it, but it hasn't worked...

Horse Racing has never done anything for me

Cycling... I like the velodrome racing but the Tour de France bores me to death

NFL - Complete shite. If it didn’t constantly stop all the time, it might be okay.

Baseball - To quote Only Fools and Horses when Rodney says to Del Boy: “ You don’t like Baseball. You’ve always called it ‘Silly Boys Rounders’ “
“I don’t want you lumbering me with some old bow-wow who don’t know the difference between a Liebfraumilk and a can of Tizer!“

One of the few sports I could watch if I was a yank.

But it’s only really interesting if the scores are close in the last 1/4.
That’s its biggest problem.
