There is the odd stand out player but overall its very poor

There isn't 1 intimidating fast bowler is there?
Largely because pitches and restrictions dont allow them to be.
I'm doubtful root or smith for example would be averaging as highly in decades gone by.

All you can ask of batsman is that they adapt to the conditions
They shouldn't be as bad at the end as they were at the start
