He's had his moments, at his best he was a solid top 32 player, but I never thought we'd see him absolutely crash and burn like he has done. There are plenty of Germans who can play at a similar solid standard Hopp could hit in his pomp (I don't think any German has won a senior title of any sort since mind you), although they are still waiting for a genuine star
