US Election 2024

Post by Captain Hobo » Thu Jan 21, 2021 12:18 am

Seeing as we were so far behind TSOD's Election thread this year, thought it would be a good idea to get an early start for 2024.

Set to be held on Tuesday November 5 2024.

Will President Biden run for a 2nd term at the age of 82, or will he step aside and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris?

Who will be the Republican nominee? Early Front Runners include Former President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence.

The next most likely Republicans according to bookies are Nikki Haley, Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka Trump, Tucker Carlson, Ted Cruz, Mike Pompeo and Marco Rubio.

I don't think Biden will last the whole term.....
Harris will have taken over before 2023 and either Crooked Hilary or Pelosi will be VP

Just a hunch............

If Biden doesn't want to run again, it would make sense to retire early and give Kamala the benefit of incumbency.

But no way known will the Democrats allow her to pick a woman as VP. My prediction in that situation would be Pete Buttigieg.

All of my American friends were deliriously happy last night
They'd have celebrated Donald duck being sworn in after the last 4 years

The Democrats control the Senate so in theory the charges could be made to hold?

I have no idea.
Politics really isn't my thing.
Especially outside of the UK.

He'll have money pugged away somewhere.
Probably all of that money he "allegedly" never paid in taxes.

The trial is in the Senate where his enemies have control and even some of his own voted to impeach him
He is toxic to the Republican brand at this stage.
Surely they would want to step away from him?

would need 2/3rds of the senate to convict.
about 17 republicans would have to back it.

I don't think Biden will go for a second term, most likely the democratic candidate will be Harris. I was thinking Andrew Cuomo could be in the running as well, but apparently he's not interested.

If that is his plan, he would surely retire late in his First Term to allow Kamala to run as the President.
