Not sure of the ADC Vault round robin points system for today as it's based on the number of entries. The more players that enter the more points you can receive. Will find out once the table has been updated following completion of the final.

Matt played a few belters there, losing to Adam cost him top spot. Keep going lads!

Rugby and Erdington venues clash tonight following staff shortage at the Rugby venue yesterday due to Mothers Day.

Rugby currently has 9 entries.
Erdington has 13 entries.

Rugby is 10 miles closer but the body heat in the venue is a big negative for me. The low turnout should help with the heat issue.
.

I like the Erdington set up, there's some great lads there and the field looks competitive.

Still undecided where to go though the boss always favours Rugby.:Erdington means a drive along the M6, down Slade road (dubbed one of the worst in England) and over humps from hell along the 20mph stretch.

I often find after typing, the answer jumps out at me. Rugby it is. Smooth drive and 10 miles closer.

I'll see the Erdington lads in Coventry tomorrow. Cheers!

Nice choke there Odd Job, Seems picking the 'easier venue' didn't pay off tonight.

Bollocks was it the easier venue. There were swamp donkeys lining up to lick the sweat off my back it was that hot. My drink of choice was a pint of water.

Anyway, I won the so called tough match in my group and added my bonus point for reaching the 1/4 finals. It didn't turn out that way as I some how imploding. Though my opponent nailed a lovely 167 c/o to lead 1-0. Soon became 2-0.

Thinking I needed to win the last match in the group 2-0 to top the group to qualify or I'd be out on leg difference for 2nd place even with a 2-1 win. Had a mare or should I say my opponent far exceeded his usual mid 50's average. I mssed doubles in first leg and I was cooked. Missed darts to level and got ko'd 2-0. A result that sent me bottom of the group.

Afterwards I was told a 2-1 win would've been enough to qualify as it goes on points won, then higher average, followed by leg difference. I still don't understand the cloak and dagger rules.

The top 2 positiions in the table remain unaltered as Daniel Lee won Rugby and Sam Price won Erdington. Onto Coventry tomorrow with 3 events of Series 1 remaining.

Cheers Malt, though I fucked it big time tonight and the extra point would've come in handy. Still way below how I used to play but getting older etc...accept it...can't put it down to lack of effort or enthusiasm as it's just throwing darts with a pint of water and no nerves. I wasn't the only player grumbling tonight plus I had a great chat and catch up with an old county colleague from the 90's

I have had to sacrifice all and any practice and rest for the last week or so and will also be doing the same for the next couple of days so I can attempt to play in this, I'm not expecting much performance wise given my lay off from playing and injury but at least it will be a step in the right direction by being able to have a crack at it, It will be my first competitive action since just before Christmas so as I said previously its a chance to feel out the event and give me an idea what to expect for the next series instead of hitting it cold.

They either go or they don't. Tonight I thought I was very poor baring the odd throw. No science or graph charts can change that. This song is quite apt...
