Get a slow cooker or batch cook on your days off and stock the freezer up with fresh cooked stuff.Randall wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 6:57 pmAt the end of a 12 hour slog it's just convenientdaveboygreen wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 6:55 pmIts very rare that I eat frozen food, Yes its handy and time saving but most of my freezer is full of meat that was bought fresh then frozen, When you realise what shit is in a lot of frozen foods it makes you think twice before buying it.
A lot of the time I will cook a joint of meat and it will do for 2-3 days, Have say a roast on the first day then make a curry or casserole, stew or something the following day with the rest of the meat.

Another seafood salad tonight (late dinner yet again)
Smoked haddock, Prawns, Tuna, Smoked salmon and tinned mackerel with whatever salad stuff I have left in the fridge and some croutons.
Got a nice big lump of roast beef to cook tomorrow for tomorrow's dinner then the rest of it I will make something quick to eat before darts on Tuesday as I have to leave the house by 5.30pm, Probably a stir fry or a curry.

Got to say...The smoked Haddock I had with my salad was the best piece I have had in a long time, Will be defiantly buying more of it from where I got it from.
