Horror of fang rock
A gloriously spooky and atmospheric tale told long before tom baker vanished up his own backside.

Re: Randall's favourite doctor who stories....
Bob Holmes (not that one) told Terrance Dicks to write a story set on a lighthouse, as revenge for Dicks having told him to write a story set in medieval England (The Time Warrior: Pertweee). He was none too thrilled, but it goes well.

Nicola Bryant must be the hottest companion ever. But I've never seen Timelash.

I caught parts of it on Gold a long time ago. Can't say I formed much of an opinion either way. Doesn't Brian Blessed turn up at some point? They had a lot of guest stars in those days.

I think we can do without Doggy Dawson in the Doctor Who thread.
But not the other way around, curiously.

Re: Randall's favourite doctor who stories....
Apparently they kept the cybermen's return a secret so that the first cliffhanger would be a big old shock. Is that how you remember it? Did you see it the first time around?

I did see it when it aired yes.
The cybermen literally appeared in the last 5 seconds.
Several scenes in this live in the memory.
