Re: 2020 Daily plans
Furlough scheme as it stands has been extended to October. For some a six month holiday on 80% of full pay which aint too shabby. Add to that employers can't take any unused holiday time from anyone furloughed

You would have to wonder who might still be furloughed that long.

Hospitality is nailed on along with travel. It really is what happens after that that concerns me

What you don't know is how many shops will actually reopen mate and how long it will take for them to be operational again. Cleaning alone will take days.
The real pain of this is coming, we just don't know when

The shops have been locked up for 2 months so the virus wouldn't be present now.M H wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 4:02 pmWhat you don't know is how many shops will actually reopen mate and how long it will take for them to be operational again. Cleaning alone will take days.

Ongoing is another issue.
My place is already on about running on a shoe string when all evidence suggests it will require more staffing.

After two months locked up your place and all others will need a deep clean mate. Then the planning about safety starts, this won't happen overnight.
Your firm talking about running on a shoestring confirms my concerns, we have unemployment coming at a rate never seen before

No doubt they will just send me some marigolds.
I'd expect to be unfurloughed probably a week ahead of any planned reopening minimum as there is so much to do to put social distancing in place.

This really is the perfect storm and many will be hit hard apart from of course those already wealthy enough to ride any storm. Assuming of course the wealth is in cash and gilts as even property will take a huge hit.Randall wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 4:23 pmI hadn't considered that.M H wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 4:19 pm After two months locked up your place and all others will need a deep clean mate. To pay this debt back and attempt to rebalance the economy there's gonna big big tax rises and the Tory tax of choice is VAT and all other indirect taxes. I very much doubt they'll pass the burden to those that can afford it most.

Is anything going to be safe with national debt at such an obscene record high? The Ginge Reaper wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 4:55 pmThats been going up by the legally allowed maximum (without the need for a referendum) for years round here anyway.Randall wrote:Tax is going to increase there is no way around that.

London has recorded no new virus cases for a full 24 hour period.
Despite Tottenham players' best efforts.

Amen, brother Jimmi. Essentially being asked to sit on his couch for a few weeks. That he then put it on social media... well, what can you say?
Spurs seem to have been at the forefront of football's cuntitude. Not that it's a competition.

Never understood why they kept Aurier and got rid of Trippier. Trippier is by far a better RB.Rogg wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 7:19 pmAmen, brother Jimmi. Essentially being asked to sit on his couch for a few weeks. That he then put it on social media... well, what can you say?
