No idea how many tickets would need to be sold for break even tbh. If there was a mega sponsor involved who wasnt Potter you would have thought it would be known by now.

Dear lord...
Headline is 1659 sold, of which 140 are part of the combined hotel+ticket package. The figures are approximate, due to the way seats are blocked out, and may be an overestimate rather than an underestimate, but I don't think more than about 85 can be knocked off that total as a worst case scenario. Breakdown below:

Seats Sold % Sold Value
Sat All Day 1394 86 6% 6732
Sun All Day 1394 144 10% 10708
Mon All Day 1394 49 4% 3658
Tue Aft 1394 58 4% 1160
Eve 1394 46 3% 1812
Wed Aft 1394 81 6% 1620
Eve 1394 59 4% 2168
Thur Aft 1394 149 11% 2980
Eve 1394 131 9% 7182
Fri All Day 1394 249 18% 18958
Sat All Day 1394 376 27% 28032
Sun All Day 1394 231 17% 21607
Total 16728 1659 10% 106617
86 for the first Saturday, which is usually the best seller along with the final weekend. Pathetic stuff.

I feel this time round any casuals who may go probably don’t even know it’s taking place, the BDO demise was big news and the WDF essentially picking up the pieces wasn’t really reported outside of darting circles, the world seniors has been advertised much better which doesn’t help because people aren’t likely going to be able to attend both

Feel like if their social media presence was improved they could easily sell a lot more tickets

Their issue is yes, they could hammer their Twitter account but its preaching to the same few thousand people.

Fact of the matter is they need to spend money on advertising.

Loyal old-timer foggs over the road has officially begun fantasising about how to configure the camera angles to make pitiful crowds look alright. All too familiar I'm afraid.
