Hello, mates. I hope you're doing well!
I understand that it's a trivial question here and I hope you're not fed up with such questions. Suddenly I realized, that I want to buy darts. When I was a kid we had one in my parent's house. It was utterly ancient, but it was quite good anyway. What do you think about darts nowadays? Are there any good options to purchase? I'd like to find something, not just a marked up circle, thanks.

Welcome to the forum

If you're looking to buy darts, make sure they are at least 85% tungsten. Preferably between 22-24g and a straight barrel. Even better if you can try some out at a shop.

As for dartboards, your best bet is a Winmau Blade 5 or a One80 Gladiator 3 board.

As for a dartboard, I checked boards you've recommended to me, they look quite ... usual..? I'd rather buy a modern one, I mean an electrical dartboard. For understanding, I'd like something like 4th or 5th option from this url. It looks very cozy and fits our interior, but I doubt its durability. How can I check a tungsten percentage of those boards without contacting a seller? And one more question, what do you think about buying dartboard online? Amazon for instance.

Ignore Thorn, he doesn't know what he's talking about. You don't use tungsten in dartboards.

I think 4 or 5 would both be good options, they both come with darts, but 5 has more games loaded so that's always a plus.

Okay. The boards I recommended are steel tip boards. You are talking about electronic or soft tip boards. You have to decide which one you want. I strongly recommend you to buy a steel tip board but it's your choice. If you still want a soft tip board, I can't really help you with that.

The tungsten percentage wasn't referring to the dartboards but the darts. I mean the arrows, the pointy things that you throw at the board. Of course that also depends on whether you are getting a steel or soft tip board.

I think buying online is fine really. I'd also check out a shop like Dartscorner. Depends on where you live though, make sure you're not spending too much on postage. For a dartboard that can be quite expensive.

You can't really go wrong with either Winmau Blade 5 or Gladiator II. The choice boils down to availability in your area. But both are more or less the gold standard.
