Hammer Hamilton beats Martin Phillips. Hell on earth.

Mitchell out early again. Should be ranked 9 at best now, presumably meaning he won't be at the Grand Slam this year. What a shame.

Oh no, who's going to get knocked out in the group stage in his place?

thegentle putting the boot in, there.

It says a lot where a player who has failed to get through the group stage for 4 years out of 4 could very reasonably be considered to be a major loss to the BDO pot.

It is a major loss, yes. The squad gets worse every year.

We do worry about our #squad.

2016 looks quite bright from here. I still haven't finished laughing at what happened in the last 16, but still:

adams, waites, j-smith, fitton, durrant, noppert, hughes and mitchell.

That's a hell of a list compared to what it is this year. Back then Adams, Waites and Fitton weren't all useless. Also the 3 best players defected to the unofficial circuit since then. Looking forward to Parletti and Kleermaker rocking it up this year. (not)

And to think some useless morons are arguing that it should be 16 of these useless poxy shits vs 16 PDC.

It is no wonder they can't get people to watch this shit. It is the fucking traveling gipsy carnival coming to a vacant lot near you. They show up with their dodgy rust encrusted death trap rides. The yellow stained tents for the sideshow oddities. Those little grease bucket sheds on wheels they serve food out of. And of course the cobbled together caravans more colorful than a bag of jelly beans and not a fucking working bathroom among them. What ties the gipsy carnival and the BDO darts together is after they leave town they both leave a vacant lot smelling of piss and shit strewn with empty lager cans and liquor bottles. And like a bad case of STD they will be back again next year to do it all again.

That final between Parletti and the dutch nobody is an absolute embarassment.

Fair play to the dutchman who threw some decent arrows and likely has a decent future, but fuck me, the guy had won less that 2 grand his entire career prior to winning a top BDO comp 9 (it's a cat a!!!). Winnings were 3K IIRC so his career earnings have literally doubled. Well done to that lad.

Parletti absolutely shat it. 4-1 up in a first to six. First to six in a finale ffs!!! How can a cat a finale have a best of 11 legs format???

Up until 2 years ago that was the PDC format.

Personally i think Set play would be better for BDO

Surely Sky/PDC will request that Bennett and Suzuki be added to the GSOD.

The top 8 in the BDO order of merit are unknowns to anyone outside of the darting bubble. So are Bennett and Suzuki in fariness, but at least their inclusion will generate a bit of press attention.

Of course, and it's ridiculous to expect them to select Durrant. This is fully the PDC's responsibility. If Hearn thinks Durrant should be in the event (he should be in 100% IMO), it's up to him to give him a spot. He can give him a PDC or a BDO spot it doesn't matter really.
