Wilson?
Nope. Only qualified for the UK Open in his maiden year.

In fact he didn't even qualify for Ally Pally at the end of it.
He already seems to have been cluttering up events forever.

Still strange how have they fallen of in a relatively short amount of time. Klaasen, Benito, Norris, Reyes and Kyle were all solid top 20 players on form. They were also talked about as potential event winners or even about their possible PL selection. A year later, they can't even qualify for the Grand Prix.

I'd have excluded Benito from my comment as recently as the world's but it's hard to care when his game has gone off a cliff.

He's the most curious of them all. Throwing averages in the 70s regularly FFS

Seem to recall he was trying to change his throw or something like that to reduce the number of bounceouts he was getting?

Whatever he's done, it's completely killed him as a player.
2020 World Grand Prix Lucky Dip winner!
2x 2019 Q-School Lucky Dip winner!

Both as valuable as the Lakeside piss pot!

Agreed. None of these deserve their place on current form and although a few of this years debutantes will possibly go out first round, they will gain experience for future majors.
But the way this years tournaments are panning out, I wouldn't rule out someone going as far as the quarters

He is totally gone...
I cannot see him getting back to the top 16 now...
Maybe he should revert back to his original style..
Bounce outs aside, he still was in the top 16 and at this rate he will be out of top 32 by the end of the year.
Same goes for Kando, he was a better player when he showed a bit more of an aggressive style but at the mo, he looks very average

Having read the replies, I think Noppert probably is the first since Bunting. Will it ever happen again will it...

Norris is worth a mention. He did 2015 Lakeside then played European Championship and PC Finals (field of 32) later that year.

This is going to be brutal at first to 2 sets, no one is safe really. Hope the debutants can handle the double start.
