They've never played the semi and final at the world's, matchplay etc so no idea why they think it's a good idea here.

so they play whole events in a single day, and they play all day in the ET on the finals day. Either you got the stamina or you don't. I look at it like a twist that tests a players ability in a different way. Sort of like sets vs legs it tests a different aspect of the mental game.

The Taylor era has been over for 3-4 years. If there's one match that symbolized the change, it was the 2013 Players Championship Final at Minehead. Taylor had dominated TV events in 2013, leading the last major final of the year by 6-3 against van Gerwen and seemed on course for another. Van Gerwen then surged, winning the next 7 legs and winning 11-7. Taylor then went into a bit of a slump, recovered a bit, won a couple of more majors (including a 18-9 battering of van Gerwen in the 2014 World Matchplay final), but van Gerwen became world number 1 after winning the 2014 World Championship, and has dominated week to week since the early months of 2015.

Taylor might roll back the years for the odd match, or odd week like at the 2017 World Matchplay, but the Taylor era has long been over.

You're a nice guy.

I was expecting 'if you don't like it fuck off'.

With the comma deliberately missing.
