Re: The Official TDF Dog Walking Thread
Got in from work earlier and Ruby just wasn't her normal self then I noticed a growth near her anus. Got her to a vet and as expected her anal glands are infected and swollen. Quite common in small bitches.
£78 later and a few pills which she won't take she's curled up looking quite comfortable but if I can't get the pills into her the swelling will burst which won't be pretty.
The up side is I only have a £85 excess on her insurance so any more treatment for this condition up to £4500 per year is covered

I had to crush them then mix in with a chicken thigh and then break up a treat to add before Ruby ate the lot.
The swelling has now burst so I'm also bathing it with boiled and salted water. Will draw all the puss etc out

Re: The Official TDF Dog Walking Thread
I've avoided looking at this thread until today....because of the title, I thought it was all about Scott Mitchell (who boils my piss)
Always had dogs in the family. Lost my previous two either side of Christmas 2016 and said to missis we'll take a break and do a few holidays abroad etc. Yeah, yeah.....we had one within 3 weeks and had re-homed another by the end of the following month. Both whippets, bit mad at times (particularly the young one) and very prey driven when out and about........very lazy comfort seekers in the main though.

Ruby appears to be a lot more comfortable today. I never thought I'd one day be paying attention to a four legged dog's arse!

Two legged dogs arses yes...but paying this much attention to four legged one's arse must be a shocking thing for anyone

Is it wise keeping them so long in this heat mate? I only have Ruby out twenty minutes max

The alsation did not move an inch all last night. Sprawled out at the side of the bed next to me snoring her head off.

Ruby buried herself under the pillows, I get the small bit of the bed and she gets what she wants. There's something wrong here!
