this is the proof to what I always maintain.

Its easy to win when your confidence is at full.Bunting was running amok in the bdo, came to the pdc and picked up a qualifier earlier, but as soon as the regular beatings came bang went his confidence and he became just like every player who had to adopt and learn to accept what rod calls "scar tissue"

Even taylor has lost his aura , but he like lewis wade, and othersare always gonna be top players because of their talent.
Even when some rot sets in for MVG he wont do a bunting.

Bunting was hyped because he top in the bdo, so fuck.....kellet was bdo #1, so was steve farmer, and james wilson, the bdo is shit and someone had to be top, dont mean they are quality.

As for benito, he has settled better, but it was obvious years ago looking at benito in the bdo that he had a future in the PDC, I said it years ago that lad would do well and been proven right so far

Huge surprise eh that cutting through 80-odd averages at the piss palace doesn't mean you're a top player. Hype is also meaningless.

Benny and Bunter switched at the same time. Bunter was given a free tour card, exploded onto the scene with a floor win then Premier League and World Series wildcards came the year after.

Van de Pas won through Q-School, played the challenge and youth tours alongside the pro tour and clawed his way quietly up, winning his first pro tour title this year.

Completely different paths, but they've more or less met in the middle now. Which of them is more likely to win a major TV title in the next few years?

Look at the final stages of the 2014 piss palace... be interesting to see where they're all ranked in the PDC after they've all played a full two years.

Semi Final
Stephen Bunting 6-1 Robbie Green
Alan Norris 6-5 Jan Dekker

Final
Stephen Bunting 7-4 Alan Norris

Chizzy really struggling to break into the top 10 again. Shameful stuff considering not one of those above him have more talent and brilliance.

They'll be lucky if one of them is in the top 16. Bunting is barely top 16 as it is, and while Norris is rising, I doubt he'll get much higher. Kong and Dekker won't crack the top 32. In fact, they probably won't come close.

The PDC's top 32 still has a handful of cloggers in it, but it's slowly becoming an elite field of players.

I agree on Dekker, he's pants, and on Kong, but he's much more likely than Dekker. I think Norris will scrape into the top 16 inside the next year. He's got loads of TV events to come with nothing to defend and he's enjoying it.

Looking at who went deep, that 2014 Lakeside was horrifying stuff... James Wilson was a quarter-finalist, he'll not be reaching the top 32 of the PDC either.

I think Kong, Dekker and Wilson are top 32-48 players. Perhaps one of them might scrape into the top 32 in a few years (probably not Dekker)

Norris might indeed get into the top 16 at some point.
