But yeah like Taylor in his prime almost all finals again looking like only one winner and that being a cunt
If it turns off darts fans, than it is better if MVG gets less dominant
Some posts by other users:
Agree, boring. I rarely watch darts now. I watched the semi finals and turned off before the final to throw darts instead of watch the same procedure over and over again.
I know he is good but it's only exciting if there is competition. If Anderson doesn't show up then its predictable and gets boring.
I enjoy watching the other players as it is more likely going to be a good match with a lot of excitement.
Another user:
I stopped watching as soon as Michael started winning by 3 legs or so in the PL; I knew which way things were going and I wasn't interested anymore.
Another user:
Maybe it's not boring but getting too predictable, tonights premier league was not great to watch .

Turned off before the final
I hope he/she didn't do that before their Masters semi-final over a similar format where Taylor cunted his way towards 7 match darts in a thriller...

It's up to the other players to stop MvG, especially the younger players. Players who want to beat MvG have got to aim to win legs in 12 darts and 4 visits to the board on a consistent basis.

I have to say that I did not enjoy the final at all. I would have preferred a 11-8 or 11-9 outcome. It was too onesided. Taylor vs Anderson was by far the most enjoyable match of the evening. Perhaps not in terms of quality, but certainly in terms of excitement.

Dedicated freak wins a lot, people go to pieces, freak loses, people absolutely love it, all goes quiet for a while. Repeat. Repeat until the end of fucking time.

dont matter to me if its taylor, MVG or whoever seeing one player completely dominate is not good, no matter how great his darts are,
already seen decades of taylor dominate, no rush to see a repeat by another single player

Just catching up with the whole Premier League final...
At times when Taylor's at the board with multiple darts at a double, notice his lack of composure. He seemed to be chucking them anyhow and quickly, just to get the pressure moment over and done with. Very much like when he had several darts to beat MvG in the Masters. Remember how slow and methodical he used to be for such moments? A dog could run across the stage and he'd still throw every dart in perfect rhythm like clockwork. I think it's gone.

Never too early for that discussion. I think we will need to see how he fairs on t.v. A few Qf's and he will be in. Smith, Thorn and Chizzy will likely be out barring a major run. Hopefully they would chuck Barney out. Taylor might retire if he gets beat by a jobber in the first round of the world's. Wright will be safe as well.

Instinct says it's too soon for Benito, but they do like to put in a debutant most years, so maybe. As chizzyflan says, it's about going deep in a TV event, preferably on Sky tv. Kim, Smith and Bunter all got to TV semis the season they were selected.
Only 4 of the current top 20 have never played in the PL: White, van der Voort, Suljovic, van de Pas.
I think van der Voort would be a potentially good addition, but his form is on the slide again.

Or, they might do something radically different with next year's PL.
I've not thought through the consequences on elimination etc. but I'd like to see a 'guest' player each week. Pick 9 players for the Premier League, and for each of the first 9 weeks invite a different player to make up the 10.

Except then it would not be a league table

It would if the match against the invited player didn't count each week.

Well they could have a league table with the 9 core players on it. The 'guest' players don't get any points. They just get to sample a PL night and we get to see a varied field each week. It's not absolutely tidy, but if they do want to shake it up...
My other idea is three points for a win. I'm emailing all this to this PDC you know, oh yes you'll be sorry when they take my advice.

Could well happen actually, when you think of how downtrodden Smith got in this year's as the weeks went by, compared to guest players who'd be coming in fresh every week with nothing to lose and probably playing well. There is some fun to be had in this concept. If Hearn won't listen, I might revive the Super Series for a trial run.

bring in one of the regular players bogey players each week.
Problem is when the guest finishes top of the league, which guest do you call back ?
