Look at the dates and try and argue they didn't make the boards more friendly!
But also worth bearing in mind that long course legplay has only been a regular feature on TV in the last decade or so.

At a glance, half of those averages are in tournaments that didn't exist before that.

Taylor's prime was 2008-2010.

I'm not sure if MVG will ever be that good.

Interesting to know Taylor's highest average at the match play say 95-2004

His 112.17 in the 9-dart game with Mason is actually 12th on that list.

You may like the brief clip of Taylor-Mawson from the 1997 Matchplay on this. Taylor won 8-0 with a 113.43 average.
It's too short a format to count on the list, but still. THis is a cunt. Fom 51:40.

Bear in mind that Taylor played on toy boards post-split. BDO regulation equipment would have exposed him for the fraud he really was.

Agree totally, let's face it, the happenings of we'd /Thurs didn't cover anyone in glory. But it was rescued by an absolutely brilliant weekend of a tournament. BDO needs characters, what John o shea brought to the event this weekend, we need more off. Yes trophies looked amateur

"It was rescued"

Never underestimate this ability to sweep fantastic sequences of catastrophic fuckups under the piss-soaked carpet because someone happened to enjoy a few games of shit darts. Yes, of course, it's really nice that you enjoyed yourself. I'm not a monster.

But you may as well claim that the #NewEra was rescued by a close game between Martin Phillips and Conan Whitehead at the Welsh cinema or the Titanic didn't sink because the violinist was on top form.

The latter stages were a bit better than expected.

Beyond that, there were literally no positives.

He wouldn't need to if Randall was in the room.

Randall would swing for him in an instant.
