'Figures just filed at Companies House show that PDC made a profit last year of £15 million, up from £12.2 million in the previous year. The profits generated by darts were £3 million more than those made by Matchroom Boxing — even though, at £48.7 million, PDC generated less than half the revenue.

That means PDC’s profit margins run at 31 per cent, making it one of the most lucrative professional sports in the world. English football’s Premier League posted margins of 8 per cent, and the England and Wales Cricket Board 6 per cent, while Premiership rugby is loss-making.'

Isn't that more than the total prize money for the year?

Probably not quite. Prize money accross pro and secondary tours is somewhere in the region of 15-20 million I think.

It's still far too high a percentage, considering most of it is going to shareholders.

This is a bigger deal than Nazi Pieter has made it out to be. He's conveniently left out the part where Barney tells Littler to fuck off.

https://talksport.com/sport/1799973/luk ... -messages/

He should have the maturity and foresight to not tell the media kid darling to fuck off and also be annoyed at a child at the ripe age of 56, but he's right to be pissed after Littler clearly bullshitting the Barney connection just for media hype.
