My dad’s a darts star who shocked Van Barneveld, I’m making my own way in the sport but he beat me with a NINE-DARTER

Re: Darts articles in the Media thread
When I first got into darts Schindler was on the tour but generally lower ranking fodder. I always recall him popping up on streams of pro tours and his throw being quite a bit different to what it is now.
Towards the end of his tour card run he was playing good stuff but it was too late to keep his card, but by then his throw was a lot more steady like it is now. he was one of the favourites to get through Q School and I remember him throwing some ridiculous 120 odd averages at the Q School as he absolutely pissed it.
Since then he’s just carried on cracking on with his new throw and getting better and better. I don’t think there’s anything unique about his rise, he was young and talented, went away and got better and changed his throw. Price’s throw is so much different to when he started too, sometimes it just takes a good few years for a perfect adaptation to form.
I think Schindler can carry on being a dangerous draw for a long time, but can’t see him breaking and maintaining a top 16 spot for example, there’s just too many good players about these days, but it’s nice to see a player progress at a steady and realistic rate, not every players going to burst onto the scene and keep a tour card first time round

Excellent analysis Malt. Schindey proved he has the bollocks.

I'm irrationally mad that they've twisted the headline.
