Sorry what?
How to explain deepfakes. It's one thing that looks like another. Imagine watching Bristow v Lowe but somebody has 3D-pasted Duzza's face over Lowe's so that he convincingly looks like Duzza from every angle.
Conspiracy theory stuff then?

I've no idea how far it goes but to some extent the technology is certainly real. It's causing massive issues in the porn world as you can imagine.

‘Stand up if you love the darts!’ – Understanding the key catalysts responsible for the rapid transformation of Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) darts during the 2000s

ABSTRACT

Following the split in darts during the 1990s and a resulting Tomlin order (where terms were agreed in a court of law without admission of liability from either side) in 1997, two governing bodies were recognised as the leading darts organisations: the British Darts Organisation (BDO), and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC – the new name for the World Darts Council, originally formed in 1992). Though both organisations were initially regarded as equals, the PDC rapidly transformed into the leading version of professional darts in the late 2000s. The multi-million-pound circuit of live PDC darts events held across the globe have been widely celebrated in sports media since the early 2010s. However, what has not been explored in scholarly literature are the key catalysts that led to the rapid changes in the PDC which led to the organisation becoming the preeminent version of professional darts during the 2010s. Using a range of semi-structured interviews and archival information with a variety of professional players, media figures and governance linked to the PDC, this article explicates the key catalysts involved in the development of the PDC as an organisation during the 2000s.

Eurosport and BT Sport will disappear after TNT Sports rebrand

https://www.theguardian.com/media/2023/ ... rebrand-tv

Eurosport is to disappear from UK television after more than three decades after the new pay-TV home of sports including Premier League, Champions League and Olympics rebrands as TNT Sports.

BT and the US media giant Warner Bros Discovery (WBD), which have formed a multi-billion pay-TV sport joint venture, also announced on Tuesday that the BT Sport brand name is to be scrapped.

The joint venture, the home of sports rights including cycling, rugby and tennis, has chosen TNT Sports as the master brand – as WBD already uses it as its sports-focused identity in international markets including Latin America and the US.

The move, in July, will mark the end of the BT Sport brand, which was launched in 2013 as the telecoms giant poured billions into creating a pay-TV rival to stem customer losses to Sky.

Eurosport, which has been a staple on British pay-TV since 1989 when it was part of the channel lineup when Rupert Murdoch changed the UK market with the launch of Sky, will be “rolled into the new brand at some time in the future”.

I suspect the TV deal for the 2022 WDF event was one year, I dont recall any mention being made to a multi year one.

Also Richard Ashdown said they turned down a multi-year deal from Eurosport that would have clashed the 2023 WDF event with the 2023 World Seniors event, so as it stands they dont actually have any TV deal for it anyway, at least not publicly.

Also, the Eurosport channels arent actually changing names until after the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

'I played darts with Phil Taylor - but I should have never become close friends with him'
https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/darts ... s-28752756

---
The Power’s dedication to his craft was central to his success, but Priestley believes he taught the tungsten titan a thing or two as well, maybe too much.

“He wasn’t the type to go out. When he was at a tournament, he was there to do business. He was not a party animal, but he also was not a monk. He was very professional,” Priestley told SafeBettingSites.

“Looking back on the situation, I shouldn't have let him get that close to me in terms of friendly wise. I was 10 years senior to him, and I was not a teenager in my 20s.

“I believe he learnt a lot from me but I should have not let him get too close to me. I should have kept him at arm's length with more distance. Although, it did make me more hungry.”

Taylor amassed a staggering 16 world titles, a record Priestley is sure will never be matched.

“Phil and his record will never be overtaken,” he added. “It is possible, but in my opinion, no one will get near the 16 World Championships and all his other titles.

“If you are a top player and dominate for a decade, you have done extremely well. Phil more or less dominated for two decades which was remarkable.”

The Power’s dedication to women was central to his success, but Priestley believes he taught the tungsten titan a thing or two as well, maybe too much.

“He wasn’t the type to go out. When he was at a tournament, he was there to make inappropriate advances. He was not a party animal, but he also was not a virgin. He was very hung,” Priestley told SafeBettingSites.

“Looking back on the situation, I shouldn't have let him get that close to me in terms of friendly wise. I was 10 years senior to him, and I was not a teenager in my 20s.

“I believe he learnt a lot from me on how to grope girls but I should have not let him get too close to me. I should have kept him at arm's length with more distance. I was shocked when he touched me down there and whispered into my ear passionately. Although, it did make me more horny.”

Taylor amassed a staggering 16 sex offender convictions, a record Priestley is sure will never be matched.

“Phil and his record will never be overtaken,” he added. “It is possible, but in my opinion, no one will get near the 16 women he molested and all his other crimes.

“If you are a top player and dominate a few young defenseless girls, you have done extremely well. Phil more or less dominated dozens of young girls which was remarkable.”
