Re: Current OoM
Back to back worlds even though he was fortunate when Wade blew the semi is some achievement but luck has to be taken and he took it. But I don't think anyone would disagree he's under performed, achieved since.
Wade's a fucking head case but when he plays like he did yesterday takes a lot of beating. Problem is him being a head case costs him many times

I predicted (elsewhere) that Bunting would settle as a solid 16-32 player in the PDC and said he was on a par with Van der Voort when he switched.Darth Randall wrote:The honeymoon will be overM H wrote:Just after the worlds mateDarth Randall wrote:Bunting must start defending money soon
As he was the BDO champ, some people (elsewhere) said he was bound to make the top ten or even the top five and ridiculed my statement that he was at the same level as Van der Voort.
Looking at the current OOM, VdV is 18th and Bunting is 19th and about to start defending some ranking money.

Re: Current OoM
wade blew a GSoD, A possible World title as well, had he won them Rod would be blowing his load calling hi a double figure major champ and all the bullshit he comes out with.
Other than taylor, and possibly MVG and Lewis no one has achieved more in the PDC playing today.
Barneys 4 mickey mouse comps in bob potters emporium of piss dont matter a fuck

In terms of televised PDC wins, only Taylor is ahead of him.Justin Credible wrote:wade blew a GSoD, A possible World title as well, had he won them Rod would be blowing his load calling hi a double figure major champ and all the bullshit he comes out with.

Hankey and Bunting were nailed on top ten at worst if I remember correctly. Re: Current OoM
I got pelters for even suggesting that he was at the same level as VdV back then - the BDO lot were convinced he was going to tear up the PDC. Turns out I was spot on.M H wrote:Hankey and Bunting were nailed on top ten at worst if I remember correctly. I also nsaid I would be fucking amazed if bunting was ever a top 9 player,
And his invites to the premier league and world darts series were totally under deserved , and a total fuck off to players more worthy and deserving

Re: Current OoM
That's not actually true. In terms of "televised PDC wins", Wade has won 7 of them and MVG has won 8 (with a world's to boot). Anderson and Lewis both have 4, Barney 6 and Taylor is obviously miles ahead like.Off_The_Wire wrote:In terms of televised PDC wins, only Taylor is ahead of him.Justin Credible wrote:wade blew a GSoD, A possible World title as well, had he won them Rod would be blowing his load calling hi a double figure major champ and all the bullshit he comes out with.

Re: Current OoM
Mensur is doing the full Pro Tour this year, it's how he got to qualify for the World Matchplay in the first place. Qualifying for every Euro Tour (and winning a round or two usually) also helps a lot.
That said he's also been having good ranked major results this year, quarterfinal at the UK Open and quarterfinal at the WMP.
