Why is/was Jimmy White so popular? He seems very shifty to me.

White just seems very dull though. Admittedly I've not watched him much. Higgins was a box of frogs, a genuine madman.

People on here don’t like Judd Trump either.

But he’s a like White and O’Sullivan, plays very attacking, attractive snooker.

He's meant to be a bit of a prick.

So White has an attractive playing style. That's fair enough. Still everytime I see him I'm left thinking that it doesn't add up how this person could have such a following. Most things mystify me though so I don't worry about it.

White was mates with Alex Higgins and was known to be a partier. He was also a nearly man, a bit like Terry Jenkins.

Those factors would have also added to his appeal.

6 World Finals but he did win just about everything else in the game.

Perhaps Wade would be a better comparison.
