Any good history ones? Hunting for something new.
Haven’t breen reading history books for a while now. At least not like I used to.

What historical subject / era are you interested in?
Ive been looking for something either on the Chinese revolution or modern (Meiji and onwards) Japan. Both two interesting areas I really known very little about.
What I normally do:
- find the subject on Wikipedia
- scroll to ‘further reading’, and search those books on Amazon
- buy the books (or download them, it’s cheaper), based on the reviews.
Will give it a go. Thanks.
Found anything?

Went for a very general historical overview in "China: A History" and a more revolution focused one in "The Penguin History of Modern China: The Fall and Rise of a Great Power, 1850 - 2009". Just went to the top on kindle and looked at the reviews to make sure it was what I was looking for.

Both good, though the first obviously suffers from trying to cram far too much in one book.
Boring Brendas number one and (almost) only fan.

Smithys number one and (definitely not) only hater.
