Greatest darts player of all time. And also a total cunt.
"I'm in the final Ronnie"
It's easy with the passage of time to forget what an absolute bellsniff he is/was. Those of us who watched it all probably never will.

I know you're trolling but I'll bite and agree that what you say is absolutely correct. In a combined field he'd still have probably 10 or so world titles and still be the GOAT, but some of those early PDC fields were absolute comedy.

Amazing stats from Hump

Three weeks of uninterrupted Premier League victories have taken Luke Humphries to the top of the league table as well as the Form Guide in almost every statistic.

In only one of his last nine victories against former World Champions and other elite players did Humphries average less than 100, and in none of these matches did any of those players even force the reigning World Champion to contest a deciding leg.

Those victories have put him on his highest 200-leg average (102.01) since claiming the Sid Waddell Trophy in December, and the calibre of his vanquished opponents contribute to an OChE rating of 68.46, one of the highest since the Form Guide began in January 2022.

By winning legs in 15 darts or fewer an astonishing 59% of the time, Humphries is currently giving his opponents - no matter how well they play - very little opportunity to earn any Premier League points of their own.

Phil Taylor was the best player in the world at the time of all 16 World Championships that he won. The only really serious debate is Richie Burnett in 1995. The early WDC fields were "comedy" because they had to fight a court case for the survival of long-term professional darts. By the way, nearly all pre-split TV tournament winners were in the early WDC. By "comedy", you're referring to the lack of depth in the field.
