don't they say one of the oldest?

the actual oldest continuous darts tournament in the world is the pennsylvania state championships.
but that's with widdy's and they play 3 man baseball on the american board.

This is how they describe the Winmau mate.
The 2013 Winmau World Masters will celebrate the 40th Anniversary Year of the oldest established major on the BDO calendar. Click here for full information on the 2013 schedule:

it's ado sanctioned & the ado is a wdf member

the masters is described as oldest "major" I see in the above desription.

see that the pdc challenge west in japan is coming up 5/19.
sponsored by dartslive. that suggests streaming.

this is the first of two pdc japan tournaments that each produce 4 players
that will playoff later in the year for the pdc world championship spot.

walking in a hashi wonderland..there's only one hashimoto...
nicknamed the ogre, who wears the name "annie" on the back of his shirt.
have no idea why.

from elsewhere
Dannyboy wrote:A couple of months ago, the PDC published their annual accounts for the last financial period (2011-12). This period is the year up to 30th June 2012, so this is already out of date, however it is the latest set that gets published several months after the accounting period.

Certainly impressive reading in such a difficult financial situation nationally - recession busting.

Highlights
-The PDC turned over approx 41% more money than the previous financial period. The company's income amounted to £15.2m up from £10.8m in the previous period.
-The PDC paid £6.5m in prize money, an increase of a quarter from the previous year, up from £5.25m.
-The PDC made an increase after tax profit of £1.15m up 30% from just below £900,000 in the previous period.
-There is nearly £5.5m sitting in the bank, taking into account monies owed.
-85% of their revenue is earned in the UK, however money made in Europe has more than doubled in a year.
-The PDC had signed a number of long term sponsorship agreements and are confident that lost sponsorship can be recovered by increased levels of revenue elsewhere.
-The PDC paid a dividend of £25 per share. This comes to a total of £500,000 paid to the company's shareholders, which is made up of former and current players, officials and company directors et al. Matchroom Sport took a payment of £188,650 and Phil Taylor's shares amounted to £30,875.

I think its fair to the say the PDC's house is firmly in order. The bubble isn't bursting any time soon.

I guess the dividend payments will anger some; people taking money out of the sport, however many of these put their livelihoods on the line for the game of darts. And they're reaping the rewards. Personally, I have no problem with it.

bunting would need to enter another 2 events to make the quota, then wait for the invite for their worlds and then could win his ally pally spot

If he did I'd put money he'd get an invite as there's no way he'd get dumped in the prelims.
