Clash of the Forums - 25th November 2011

Just an update for you all, this is still on & at the moment we are looking at a venue just outside of Altrincham, Manchester nearest hotel is the Cresta Court http://www.cresta-court.co.uk but I will post details of cheaper ones closer to the time.

As I confirm details I will pass them on but if we are going to do a proper Forum team tournament then I am going to put the following ideas forward, firstly that teams be mate up of 6-12 forum members the format of each match will be 6 games of singles and 3 games of pairs, I feel this allows as much spec as possible for forums to attend even if they can only send along a few members. I also think forums with a larger turnout should be allowed to enter more than 1 team. I think all teams should play each other in a league format with the winner taking the title assuming there is time otherwise we can do 2 smaller groups and have the winners play each other. Games should be 501 best of 3 legs for singles and 701 best of 3 for pairs, bull of knees in all games to detiermine who has the darts in the 1st and 3rd legs.

6-12 and anything inbetween 6 games of singles and 3 games of doubles, players can play in both singles and doubles or just in 1 so hopefully everyone who wants to gets a chance to play.

I think we ended up with 13 in our team for the last match, and I think we provisionally have 12 already so the more the merrier

If you have enough you could put two teams in I suppose. The more the merrier indeed.

Could do depending on numbers of teams and how many of our provisional lads end up going. Few of the Scottish lads reckon they are coming down
