Simple as that
We actually had a lot of very good sessions but the ones we lost were disastrous and game changing. It really should have been 2-2 going into the final test.
Whilst India had their best player missing for the series. We had ‘Brooky’ missing who plays well in sub continent conditions.
On a positive, Hartley and Bashir did well and they should be our main spinners moving forward.
Should have won the ashes
Should have been 2-2
At some point this has to stop
England are just incredibly careless

279 is the target.
I see the Aussies used EIGHT different players bowling in the NZ second innings.

Australia would surely have been favourites at the start of their 2nd innings needing less than 300 It was only day 4
Granted when they lost their 4th and 5th wickets NZ would have been favourites.

Just pleased to get a Series win in New Zealand, mate.

Not all teams can manage that.

That’s bollocks about giving up. The mentality has been instilled that they can chase anything down and that they are always in games.
Now I’m not denying some of the shot selections are very gung ho but I don’t believe they give up.

It's good they believe they can chase anything down, but they don't have to do it in 50 overs, this is where sense has to come into their play

No they clearly give up when the game is tough
What about the final test gave you the impression they were up for it?
