I watched the Connor Benn fight last night. That bloke really doesn’t come across well in interviews. He is also nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.

Pretty much every boxer makes out they are better than what they are. Especially when they are active.

There are far more valid reasons for hating Benn, who is perhaps the most odious character currently in the sport.

What I'm about to type is purely speculation. I don't have any insider info.

I genuinely think there is a possibility that Hearn invested a lot of money into Benn prior to October 2022 and is desperate for a return on said investment. Hence why he's stood by him so strongly throughout the scandal. I believe Hearn knows they can generate a ton of money with the Eubank bout, which would probably serve as a cash-out of sorts and offer Hearn to recoup some of his initial investment.

Deep down, Hearn probably knows that Benn is going to get found out at World or European level.
