Bellew has dined out on beating an injured and basically shot David Haye.
The Makabu win was impressive in fairness.

Really? I mean fair enough he got off the floor to win, but at the time Makabu was untested and although he won a world title after, he was okay and nothing more imo. The other week he lost to Badou Jack who is 39

Makabu was completely shot when he lost to Jack.

He was a dangerous opponent when he boxed Bellew, not elite, but certainly better than okay. It was easily Bellew's best night as a pro.

I think you clearly rate Makabu better than me. He was very green when he fought Bellew. You state that he was shot when he fought Jack ( maybe you are right) but he was world champion at the time and doesn’t have the miles on the clock that Jack has.

Makabu cost me money that night, claims he hurt his knee in round 2, he did have surgery after the fight, still a cunt in my eyes.

Is like to see AJ fight Joyce. I’d bag the juggernaut over AJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Joyce has a nice jab and a great engine.

But I think he's too hittable.
Yes, defence isn’t his strength, but he has a far better chin than AJ. Dubois who is a big puncher, never put a dent in Joyce.

I’m not quite sure what you are telling me as I agreed with you. I’d still back Joyce over AJ though. I haven’t seen Kay nights fight though. I walked through my door at 4K yesterday and was in bed at 7:30 Being up for over 24 hours with no sleep and having to drive back from London isn’t advisable.

I don't think Joyce is a top heavyweight, which is a shame because I quite like him and enjoy his fights.

I don't think he is on the same level as Fury, Usyk and Wilder. I'd also pick Gassiev to beat him. Fury and Usyk have the cardio and skills to out-box him for 12 rounds. The other two have the power to crack his admittedly impressive chin. He's just too hittable.

After last night's performance, I think even AJ would beat him.

Ive just watched the fight and Joyce did get hit way too much. It was more evident when his eye went as he was eating straight lefts.
I still thought it was competitive though. I had Ziang winning the first 3 rounds and Joyce 4 and 5
Gassiev needs to fight someone decent at heavyweight for you to back up your statement regarding him beating Joyce, I don’t see it myself. As for Wilder, he has freakish power but not a lot else. Joyce has the best chin in the division in my opinion so that would be a good fight.
The reason I think Joyce beats AJ is Joyce wouldn’t stop coming forward and AJ seems reluctant to throw any sort of combinations. Ziang was letting his hands go, no way AJ would have done that, he would been reluctant to exchange and looked to fight behind his jab. That wouldn’t be enough against Joyce.

I guess you think fighters from your era were better such as Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney?

I think Wilder and Gassiev's power would crack Joyce's chin. Zhang had him on wobbly legs last night in the 2nd frame, and while he's a big puncher, he's not as powerful as Wilder or Gassiev.

I also now think there would be a decent chance Joshua would stop Joyce or at least outbox him or holds on for a points victory. Although I can see where you are coming from.
