If a nobody did what she did they would be looking at the max ban allowable.

I wonder what would have happened is she just claimed I fecked up and thought it was 1 circuit.

She would have got a longer ban imo, she has done alright out of it in the end.

Seems a bit harsh that professional jockeys are not allowed to make a mistake.
This is pretty basic stuff though, add to that the sport is hand in glove with the bookies and people will have lost a shed load betting on the horse no doubt.
I've seen much worse examples of a jockey going for the finish a circuit too soon though.
I remember one happening on the all weather a year or so ago. Guy was cheering and everything, think he got banned for like a month as it was a pretty major fuck up

Happened at Moonee Valley in 2002, think the jockey got 3 months for this one.

First ever basketball reverse sweep on the cards. Miami heat were 3-0 up in a best of 7, now its all tied up.
There was one a few weeks back horse called Concorde was like 1/6 he eased it down thinking nowt was there and something was on the rail and got it on the line the Jocky got banned aswell.

They didn't put her in because they wanted to win ffs. Had they not fielded someone they would have got 0 points, by someone entering and finishing last they got 2 points.
