I would mostly be using it for the internet, my laptop is on it's way out but I don't really use my laptop for anything other than the internet so rather than spending a fair amount on a new laptop I thiught an ipad may be a better option

Google laptop coolers possibly.

It's a tray, same width as a laptop with a usb cable attached. You place the laptop on the tray, plug in the cable to a usb port and it operates the fan.
