Spock was in one too. Playing a sinister doctor. Columbo was absolutely seething.
Remember them both very well.
Slamming the water bottle down was the only time he ever got angry that I recall.
A jaw dropper of a moment for sure. Keep wishing he'd go a beat further like that more often but he is amazing. No jobber.

Columbo update. Into Season 4 now. The fall of the laces loop on the gym shoe proves that the laces weren't tied by the (dead, very) wearer. He didn't die in the gym at all!

Colly really doesn't like the killer cunt in this one. Bubbling under rather than Spock grade desk punching but he was bloody angry. Beautiful.

Alright then Randle. Remember this one.

Dick Van Dyke has framed somebody of killing his wife.

He made a ransom note and a photo of her tied to a chair. Columbo blows up the photo to show the clock behind her showing 10 o'clock, which ruins his alibi. Dick says you idiot, you've flipped the negative and fucked it all up, and the clock actually shows 2 o'clock.

Frustrated Dick charges over to the shelf and picks up a camera, flips it open and says there you twat, there's the negative all in order and it clearly shows 2 o'clock.

So Columbo's like you absolute div. There were 13 cameras on that shelf. How do you know it was that particular camera that took the photo, unless you took the photo yourself? He set it all up to trick him. Dick is gutted. Off he goes to win the WDF World Cup then get hanged.

Yep remember it well. He hired an ex con he met whilst photographing a prison for a book to do the ground work for him.
Another good one.

That's it. You have a great memory for these!

Dick is still alive apparently. Age 92. Good effort that.

You could just post the title of the next one and I could tell you the plot.

I believe that is the military academy one where the commander uses a cannon to kill the bloke who wants to sell his school. The title comes from the lads hanging out the booze at dawn?

Yes that's the one. The only time and only place where he could have seen the bottle hanging placed him bang at the scene of the crime.

The next ep was on a cruise ship. Robert Vaughn from Hustle and probably other things did it. Shot her through a pillow and got a feather stuck to his arse, the dopey bastard! Absolutely brilliant stuff.

And left the casing of the tablet he used to fake a heart attack in the filter of the pool for Columbo to find.

Outrageous. How many times do you think you've watched all these?

Many many times.
When the missus left I watched them almost constantly for a while.

The one with the murder inside the electronic gadgets house, where yer man fiddles the CCTV feed on a delay to give himself an alibi. Very good.

But he makes one particularly stupid mistake which gives him away. Randall will say what it was.

He had gone to an art gallery function. When Columbo studied the cctv his invite was still on the table at the murder scene.

Which meant he was still in the house at the time of the murder. Brilliant mind, sophisticated plan, one amazingly dumb mistake.

I didn't get how that episode started with him faking a break-in at the window. Shows that he was already planning to murder her that night, before she even told him she was cutting him out of the company? Not sure I really caught his motive in that case.

Now I think about it, C,olumbo seems to have completely given up on looking for an actual motive recently. What a cunt.

Alright then. Psychiatrist kills a man and covers it up shabbily with the help of a hypnotised milf, then when she's proper losing her marbles over it he uses hypnotic suggestion to make her jump to her death from a fifth floor balcony that she believes is a diving board. He eventually gives himself away when Columbo tricks him into placing himself at the scene of the original murder.

Randall will reveal how he does it.
