World records for holding on to a presidency against all opposition:
1. Robert Mugabe Zimbabwe
2. Col Gadaffi Libya
3. Saddam Hussein Iraq
4. Sepp Blatter FIFA
Reckon it'll take a UN sanctioned air strike to get rid of this one as well

There wasn't even a box to abstain. There was one box on the ballot card, seems fair.

Why they even bothered going through the voting process is beyond me. Just made the whole sham look even worse in my opinion

Yet only 17 associations out of 202 wanted it delayed. That shows just how many are in the back pocket and how fucked football really is.

He's come out with some class lines.

-“Elton John decided he wanted to rename Watford and call it Queen of the South.”

-“They offered me a handshake of ?10,000 to settle amicably. I told them that they would have to be a lot more amicable than that.”

-“I don't think Henry Kissinger would have lasted 48 hours at Old Trafford.”

-"He can't run, he can't tackle and he can't head the ball. The only time he goes forward is for the toss" [on Ray Wilkins]

Think he also said he's had more clubs than Jack Nicholas.

Shame, really thought the other candidate stood a chance.

What do you mean, he was charged with corruption just before the vote and had to withdraw?

Wales and the Norns voted against the FA proposal, wonder why?

Blatter will crucify England and the other 16

From Sepp Blatter...

"I'm the president of all the associations and will work with all of them - and with 186 votes I'm proud. Don't worry about the English.

"The number one national association in Fifa - the FA founded the game in 1863 - have the right to be called the FA, Football Association. They should be an example, so that was a surprise.

"I had heard about it, and Uefa made a special meeting trying to convince them. I thought this problem would be solved so was surprised when they tried to change the agenda of the Congress and not make elections."

Meeeooooww. Aye right enough he wont bare any grudges.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that at least one of the countries who voted in favour of the FA's proposal to postpone the election did so by mistake.

Vietnam voted 'yes' to postpone the election believing they were actually voting to proceed with the election and Blatter as the only candidate.

Jack Warner quits.

"As a consequence of Mr Warner's resignation, all ethics committee procedures against him have been closed and the presumption of innocence is maintained," said a Fifa statement.

So basically you quit Jack and no one ever finds out about how you are a fucking crook.
