Anyone been watching this?

Caused uproar in colchester among the councillors as they are trying to get Colchester recognised as a city. Now the way it has been portrayed they think it has scuppered their chances.

Apparently the SOS bus allowed filming because the council has pulled funding for it and they are trying to get the bars/clubs to shell out to keep it going.

They have also now been informed their will be an organised pub crawl which expects to have 1500 people descending on colchester for what looks to be a good night!

not sure how it works in the uk but i would have thought a place with over 100,00 would have no difficulty being classed as a city or is this something to do with charters ?

In the states a city can have as little as 1500 residents I believe.

Thats what they thought. But this programme has portrayed it as a shithole basically thats why their not happy. They have even asked for an apology from the tv crew for the way its been edited

I suspect any place of over 100,000 residents could easily be portrayed as a shithole, and rightfully so in some cases due to the fact every place has its shit area.
Would not hold your breath waiting for an apology though, be it true or not....unless of course some black and asian community leaders speak out and the pc liberal brigade come out in force

Its a squaddie town so fuck knows how they thought it would be portrayed. True enough though some proper mongs round here in my eyes it looked about right!
