Still dont get the celebrating murderers bit, esp looking back to the two great wars for example.
From a personal point of view thats what i'll be remembering, the sacrifice given by so many to ensure our freedom.
Fuck knows the concequences for today if the Nazi's had prevailed.

The trem 'GREAT' as you well know reflects the size of the conflict as in 'World War' and nothing to do with 'wow that war was great'
Nazi tyrany for example was something worth fighting for...we all should be grateful to those that helped erase it!

So its rememberance DAY, and not 10 days. Seeing as how you think it is ok for english players to wear the poppy, surely then people like you wont have any views if german teams came out wearing a swastikas?

Difficult one, imo it should not be allowed because it is like it or not a symbol of a conflict and if FIFA allow uk teams to wear it then it opens the door for everyone else.

If its allowed then how could you stop a Muslim team from wearing an anti sematic symbol offensive to Jews, or a Serbian team wearing logos which have significance over other once suppressed Baltic nations.

Imagine a game between two countries who hate each other where teams were allowed a political symbol of their choice and the media whipped said symbols up so they became significant and political, each one offensive to the other side.

We sell poppys in the shop and I wear one with pride but in this instance I think FIFA have got it right as once you set a precident its very difficult to rescind it.

As proud as we must be of our fallen it has no place in sport imo.
