Paul Engelbertink from the NDF is going to make a statement this afternoon about the Dutch team for the next tournament. The 4 nations 13-14 April.

In both codes?
You said they should be banned. From the women's series or WDF events or both?
Cws?

My guess is they will tell Anca & Aileen that they accept it and will keep Noa in the squad

Losing Aileen will be a big hit. But Anca is seriously out of form and getting Roos van der Velde and Desiree Geel in will be very good for their chances.

Anca is shite and de Graaf hasn't improved at the same pace as Fallon, Beau, Noa, Katie Sheldon et al. No loss.

Statement published from the Dutch Darts Association (NDB):

Aileen de Graaf and Anca Zijlstra informed the Dutch Darts Association on Friday evening that they are leaving the Dutch selection. The reason for this was that they did not want to play in one Dutch team with a transgender person. The NDB regrets this decision by Aileen and Anca.

The NDB adopted a Gender and Sex Diverse Persons Guideline in the General Members Meeting of July 10, 2021. With this, the NDB follows the NOC*NSF Gender and Sex Diverse Persons Guideline. In addition, the NDB's Gender and Sex Diverse Persons Guideline is in line with the Transgender Athlete Policy of the World Darts Federation (WDF).

We are aware that Noa-Lynn van Leuven has transitioned from male to female and her gender identity is female. In addition, it meets all other requirements. According to the Gender and Sex Diverse Persons Directive, she is therefore eligible to play in the women's category.

The NDB understands that people may have different opinions about this, but we follow the rules and guidelines that have been drawn up. In addition, we stand for a dart sport where everyone feels at home and everyone can participate. We think it is important that 100% of the people feel welcome at the NDB in a socially safe, healthy and inclusive sports environment. It does not matter what your origin, political preference, gender, sexual orientation, race or religion is.

We would like to thank Aileen and Anca for their many years of dedication to the Netherlands team.

Maybe they quietly declined last year, and decided to get more vocal this year.

Who has been excluded so a man can play? That's terrible if true.

The next highest ranked lady that would have been selected had they not picked a man
