Arguably the best line-up for a WDF/BDO open for many years. The allure of a Lakeside place on offer is definitely still a factor.

Denmark is always at least a decent stream. The calendar looks so empty compared to some of the BDO calendars a decade or so ago. Has COVID and funding tanked the tour?

Not been keeping up to date with WDF the last couple of months, still no word on the Masters? Only 1 tournament since 2019. Not looking great.

Yeah some events have been stopped due to a stupid rule the WDF have with regards to grading events (2 IOM events aren't WDF Ranked as a result) and some countries just run event as just opens

As for the World Masters. I emailed the WDF about it around 4-5 weeks and was told its been worked on. Will send a "Chaser" in the next week to see what's happening as all WDF members obviously need to know publicly. We will see but it needs clarity

Oh I knew about the grading rule. Didn't realise that's where a lot of the events that got cancelled came from. Well that's pretty stupid from the WDF.

Was just remembering when the BDO calendar had about 4 different events in 4 different countries for a weekend. It's looking a lot less busy now. That might be nostalgia talking though.

Yeah the Masters needs confirming soon if it's to happen. Although I don't think the 2022 event had a long time from announcement to tournament.

The Month of July is very quiet. The Aussie open isn't happening this year. (Although on 2-3 months) I suspect it could be in that month

Denmark this weekend, at least its a good stream and usually quick updates too. Definitely one of the bigger WDF events nowadays.

Good to see a lot of the big players at one event. The tour feels more fractured in recent years but nice to see a good turnout.
