Well played Gary. Think tonight's win puts him in a decent chance of qualifying for the Grand Slam.

It will only time a player hasn't qualified for the Slam with an Euro Tour win is Mensur Suljovic

Anderson is:
7th in the Grand Slam positions. (Premier Winners Humphries, Van den Bergh, Bunting, Premier Losers Littler, Cross, Van Gerwen are 1 to 6)
19th in the Grand Prix race
15th in the WC race
(Unfortunately there isn't a Grand Slam race on dartsrankings to separate 1 ET winners.)
9 ETs left, plus World Cup, Matchplay, Grand Prix, European Championships, so potential 19 spots to go above him, but I just don't know if there are 10 more players in good enough form to get a Premier spot, or 1ET and higher OOM position.

Yes, thanks, although you have them list by calendar. So on that page, for example, you can't see that Anderson is ahead of Schindler.
OOM position is a tie-breaker and the Grand Slam comes before the PC finals, so the Worlds race doesn't quite match the OOM race.

I can easily do that tbh. It's never been an issue as since ive been doing it every ET winner has qualified anyway.

GARY ANDERSON has withdrawn from the European Darts Open in Dusseldorf due to his ongoing eye problems.

The Scot recently pulled out of the second European Tour event in Berlin during his first round clash with Michael Barnard suffering from a problem with his left eye which was affecting his vision and focus.

He had hospital checks last week and missed the Players Championship double-header in Crawley, and has now withdrawn from this weekend's European Darts Open event in Dusseldorf.

His scheduled first round opponent, Scott Rand, will now receive a Bye through to the second round of the event.

Specialists have diagnosed a problem with the tear duct in Anderson's left eye, and the former Premier League champion is to have further tests and treatment ahead of the World Matchplay, which begins on July 21 in Blackpool.
