The WDF will follow the IOC line, which is no assumption that they have an advantage over female athletes. The IOC then invites individual sports to find the right approach. Which is a cop out. Given how skint the WDF is, I think they'd need to be absolutely certain of the evidence before they would annoy the IOC or risk legal action. PDC have no such concerns as a private promoter, they just don't want to do it.

While I don't feel educated enough to state an opinion. Hedman would do well to remember that there was a point in time where some people would not have wanted black people involved in the game. More visibly - the back of the bus, different water fountains etc. Folk that challenged that would have been called something equivalent of "woke" back then.

This issue is nothing to do with being "woke" (a horribly abused term that I despise). There is certainly no consensus in any kind of feminist or progressive circles. As soon as I hear that term alarm bells begin to ring and I start to wonder if I'm listening to somebody who's opinions are formulated off the back of looking at Daily Mail headlines.

Haven't been keeping up with all the IOC decisions. I know the Athletics/Swimming/Cycling boards have been changing their eligibility rules quite regularly recently.

Her point is inaccurate, I presume she doesn't know who the current Women's World Champion is and what she turned down? Also her point has no relevance to the WDF, where female (and, apparently, trans people) can't compete with men. Whether or not individuals mind is not the point, it is whether it is fair or not that matters. That is, after all, the whole reason male and female athletes do not compete against each other in most sports.

Answer is pretty simple...As Deta says, The Ladies had to start from the ground and had to build and fight to get tournaments, prize monies etc, Let the Trans players do the same and create their own system to play in...That should surely keep everyone happy
