Emergency Ward 10 at 7.30pm.

A twice-a-week soap opera set in a hospital. 1,016 episodes according to wiki. Not sure how many survive but here's a taste of what you may have been enjoying while waiting for half a game of football to start.

Very exciting at the time I imagine but undeniably terrible stuff.

I found the match programme... it was an FA Centenary match. 100 years ffs, in 1963.

This thread is full of learning. I always thought half-backs was the old name for centre-backs.

I've never seen it. I like Robin Williams. This ep looks like it was wall to wall racist jokes. I assume they weren't all like that. ITV Saturday teatime, there.

All I remember from that show is the bit where they brought on some bloke who did some ridiculous dance involving his pecs. Maybe its best I go for a lie down.

Wednesday 25th May 1977.

Star Trek cartoon series?

Liverpool's first European Cup final is on BBC1. Celtic and Man United are the only British teams to have won it before.

It is in the Radio 2 listings also.

Barry Davies commentating. Did they literally use a telephone to do it back then? It's only in Italy. They'd been to the moon several years before and sounded about the same... or had they?
